I have a TB with Android Version 2.2.1.  I have synched the calendar using HTC sync with outlook on my computer.  My company uses Outlook for all email and calendar notifications.  Therefore I use it.  I found two problems with the calendar data on my phone.  The first has to do with a recurring event that has an exception.  The event is entered in outlook as a recurring event that occurs the first Monday of each month.  Twice a year the event occurs on the second Monday.  This is entered in outlook by clicking the exceptions and entering the new date.  This works fine in outlook.  HTC Sync or the calendar app does not pick up the exceptions.  All events in this series happen on the first Monday.  The second has to do with traveling.  I am in the Eastern Time zone and many events are entered for other time zones using the local time.  An example of a long day:  I enter a 6:00AM EST flight and a 6:00PM PST meeting is entered by me or the person holding the meeting.  Thus my Outlook calendar and TB calendar show a 6AM event and a 6PM event the day before I fly to California.  The day of the flight I am notified of the 6AM flight.  When I get to California, the time for both events has been changed by 3 hours.  The flight is listed as 3AM and the meeting is listed as 3PM.Is there a setting to stop this change?  Is there a better app for use with Outlook (that doesn’t change event times)?  I have emailed Verizon and HTC but have gotten an answer.  I have used other synch software on “dumb” phones and not had this problem.  Is this phone too “smart”?  Thanks for reading all of this and any help forth coming.

I just got an answer for HTC.  This is the way the software is designed to work.  What a bad design.
