I'm from Georgia (Atlanta) - with 4G where I live but no 4G where i work Sad

Just ordered my TB Saturday, did not receive it yet but was too anxious to find a community to get help. I'm very excited to get TB may be it will be delivered by Thursday. I would like to buy a good HDMI cable, any suggestions?

Thanks,

NR

Welcome anthanks for joining. Congrtas on the tbolt.

What do you need the HDMI cable for? The tbolt doesn't have hdmi out. It uses DNLA (wireless HD) to compatible devices

I was of the opinion that if I get a Micro USB to HDMI cable (one cable) it will transfer the content on my phone to any TV. I was looking at this link http://www.accessorywiz.com/hdmi-micro-to-hdmi-lcd-3ft-adapter-cable-cord-link-for-verizon-htc-thunderbolt-4g.html , please suggest if this would not work and I will think about some other way to connect my TB.

Thanks again,

NR

That should work for you. But like J said, it uses DLNA streaming meaning if your tv is DLNA compatible, you need only tap one button and you're wirelessly streaming the movie, picture, etc.

I just checked one of my TV is DLNA and one is not Sad, which means I would have to get this cable. I just hope it works and not freezes my TB as I saw some threads on this site.

Thanks for confirming that this would work

Thanks

Unfortunately the tbolt will not push video out through usb. I doubt very much it will work. They havent even found a way to do it with root.

I would try to borrow a cable and test it first...

Holy Cow !  I would have to test it after my TB and cables get here (yes I ordered it few minutes after I saw a favorable reply) I guess i can return it saying it does not work.

Thanks for the heads up!

Even the DLNA is a bit frustrating. I can't get my Sony Blu Ray player and phone to work together at all. Grr. Good luck.

Today I found out that the cable does not work and TB does not push out video. Thankfully the store is refunding my purchase as they advertised that it would work. Well we will have to wait and see if any software updates can fix this. Sad

I meant to post earlier. That cable doesnt fit and the ones I got from IT even one specially made wont do it.

Unfortunately it cant work because that port cannot push video out even if an app was made to tell the phone too, it cant do it... Only option is DLNA..

Sent from my rooted Thunderbolt...
