Author Topic: Better than an Thunderbolt CASE! Protects the camera lens  (Read 1372 times)

I tried using a case for my Thunderbolt but it is too bulky.  A friend of mine gave me one of the rings she bought and this is great!  You get two per, so I got one free (she only has one phone) but this solves the bulky case issue, at least for me.  It saves my lens from scratches.  I picked up the phone 4 months ago and already noticed some wear.  I put this thing on it's bombproof!  You can find it on Amazon, just search for Thunderbolt lens protector, it's a clear plastic ring that goes around the camera lens.

I assume there is some logic in protecting the camera lense while ignoring the rest of the phone, but I can't imagine what it is.

No cases that I've tried will protect what matters, the damn lens glass.  Scratch that and you're done.  If you care about the rest of the phone, the actual touch screen glass won't crack or scratch as easy as the rear camera lens.  However, and I'll take some measurements, you can put a case on the phone WITH this ring on.  Problem solved, best of both worlds.  Personally I don't like the bulk or design of most cases and they won't fix the lens issue.
