I have the Ltd Edition Active and this one looks a little more heavy duty. But I just noticed that it includes a holster, so I may be interested also depending on the price.

The ballistic 2 version will have metal bars across the front for screen protection.

I am ordering one as soon as it's available. I cycle and workout with my HTC so I want some real protection. I am very fearful of dropping this phone so for $50 I can eliminate this fear.

That is one epic case hopefully the built in screen protector wont mess with the touch pad sensitivity to much.

Is there a another version coming out that is garlic scented and has silver plates... these vampires are getting on my nerves,
Or maybe one will come with a geiger counter so after a nuclear apocalypse your phone will have survived because of this case and you can avoid radiation.

It looks like an Thunderbolt case that Otterbox should have made, promised it would, but never did.

I have Otterbox for blackberry, someone on this forum says they have an Otterbox for the Thunderbolt but I'll bet its prototype/demo. I ordered the Siedio Active LE with holster (most don't have the holster, now they seem to have them). I would like to check out the ballistic cases, but not sure I will need one.

Awww well now that was just nice of them but still there timing sucks, but hey it's only two months so no biggie, yeah it's going to be bulker but safe. I had the Otter Box on my blk b and it made pretty big if you took the case off you'd be like WOOOOOW so small.

Update from Ballistic's FB:
"Thank you all for your amazing interest in our Ballistic HC case for the HTC Thunderbolt. Right now, we have a very tentative schedule that HC will be ready around the first 2 weeks in November, this schedule is subject to change (earlier or longer. We want our fans to know we hear you and want to give you all the information ...we have as soon as we get it! Thanks for being patient - we promise, it will be well worth the wait!"
Otterbox, meanwhile, has suffered some unexpected delays which has pushed back their internal (not yet released) timeline. GO BALLISTICS!
I'm counting on Otterbox, I like my ports covered now that I think about it.. since I am involved in SAR (Search & Rescue) on the waters and on land (and occassionally in the air, but flying those small planes make my dizzy now so I've been grounded pretty much.

LOL Khassy... Better yet, just go get those reusable/resealable waterproof plastic bags made specifically to protect these things they are not easy to find, but I have seen a variety of them.

I have been a long time fan of Otterbox and was dead set on getting one for the Thunderbolt. Then I saw the Ballistic! I wanted one really bad. Was pretty set on it over the Otter. However, now I am not so sure. One of my beefs with even my tiny Platinum case, is that the side buttons can be kind of a pain. It looks like the Ballistic sides have small openings to access these tiny buttons. The Otter I think uses pads on the outside to make access even better. I might have to go Otter after all if this is the case. Not that thats a bad thing.
Not saying this in a shovanist manner, but if I was a female, I would go for the pink case!
