Got my case today. Its great. Really makes this phone big. But I like it. I feel like can actually hold it with out a fear of dropping it.
The responsiveness is great. I don't see any difference as before.
My prox sensor is working just fine.
The only small issue is that the kickstand seems a little flimsy but SERIOUSLY I didn't buy this case for its amazing kickstand. Tongue lol.

This case is 5 stars in my book.
Its solid, feels great.
Not to mention i got it MUCH early than I had expected.  WTG Ballistics. You rock.

Just got the black/black and dear lord you will not be scared about dropping this thing with the case on, it is a beast.  For some it will be way too big, for me I like the size. The screen protector is taking me a little while to get used to, but nothing major. Just gotta get used to touching the top of the screen and pulling down to get the notifications, used to pull from the extreme upper left hand corner of the screen and it's a little tight to get my fat fingers up there. This is after having it on for a little more then an hour, if I have any more relevant impressions I will post them later. Cool  Oh yeah and for free shipping this time a year the speed was pretty amazing.  They shipped from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida on Friday, got to Nebraska today.  Pretty damn impressive Grin

Yes this is one beefy case. If you are looking for something to "slip in you pocket" this aint the case! There will be one big bulge...which might not be a bad thing for you...

I agree, the integrated screen protector is taking me some time to get used to also. I left my Zagg screen protector on as I still have other cases that I will continue to use here and there and just want that option. The case fit with the Zagg left on, so I left it. I did do the powder trick, seems to work for the most part. I am just pretty picky on how clean my screen looks. YOu cant really tell once the screen is on, but when off it really is noticeable. I almost wish there was a version of case without the built in protector.

I would also have to agree with the above post again on the notification bar and pulling it down. It is a PITA. Dont know how else to put it. You really got to find the sweet spot. If you have any finger nails or skinny fingers, this might not be as big of pain.

The belt clip...well its huge. So is the phone with this case on for that matter. But it works and works nicely. I don't wear a clip on the outside usually. I do sometimes slide the phone in a pocket and use the clip to secure it a little more. I also use the clip all the time in my work vehicle. I work construction so having the phone in a clip when bouncing around or having to get out and check things is nice. Plus it helps with dust and debris.
I really like the clip for the extra shell of protection and yeah, like most I dont think I would ever wear it like a normal clip on the outside of my clothing.

Another thing I really like is the outside silicone cover. Its nice to put it on or leave it off. I like they made it work either way. Most dont. It adds tons more protection with it on, but trust me, there is tons of protection with it off too. And really, Ballistic made it look cool either way. It does make it smaller and a tad easier to get in and out of a pocket with it off.

Overall, I love the case. It offers the protection I want and need and paid for. I don't know if everyone needs this level of protection, but its what I want and Ballistic nailed it. No case is perfect, and this case is no exception. But I am really happy with it.

Got a Seidio rugged case on mine but I like the way the Ballistic covers the whole front of the phone.  Just ordered one.  Will post when I get it!

I'm looking at getting one and would like to know if there will be a need to remove the existing screen protector that I have since the case comes with one.  Or is there a way not to use the one that comes with it?  Having 2 screen protectors will surely affect the screen sensitivity.  Any thoughts?  Thanks

One thing i figured out that has helped me get over the notification bar issue is using the side of my pinkie finger.

A method that I've begun to use is starting at the edge of the bevel at the top of the screen on the case. I use the side edge of the tip of my pinkie finger. I know its sound complicated but starting from that bevel edge I drop it right on that notification bar area, pause for a brief second for it to "catch" and then start dragging. I I've found it to work pretty consistently and a little easier than my other fatty fingertips straight on.

Hope this helps you some.

Like some have already said as well as myself previously. There are a few minor things about this case but none which deter me from taking it off or even looking for a new case. This is an such an amazing case for the money. I've gotten so many different comments. I have to admit, I love the attention it draws when I bust my phone out now. wink

Ballistic has a coupon code working for this case.  Put the code "ThunderboltLUTION" and you will get $5 off plus free shipping!  On a side note, send me a PM if you are interested in a very lightly used Otterbox Defender case.   wink

Ok, I must say that I am thoroughly pleased with the customer service! My ballistic case didn't allow the proximity sensor to work so after I contacted them, they sent me a new case that works great!

Got mine today, works flawlessly.  Had a seidio rugged case and not much of a bulk difference... No issues with the proximity sensor at all.  This case is worth way more than what they are charging, it's the case Otterbox should have made!

I've had my red/black case for about a week and finally got my Thunderbolt today. Everything works great but I do have the oil slick look. I haven't put on the included screen film so I hope some of the oil effect will go away when I do.

Looks like it would be good for a kid or a construction worker, but lets face it, most people don't need a waterproof, poly plated, tank of a case, a simple one will do.
