Well, i guess i will be the first to spread the word on here. Just got my email from Otter Box...Defender, Commuter, and Impact thunderbolt cases are available. I personally really like the commuter, seems alot like the sedio active, but maybe alitte more stout. Check em out...Also pretty cool idea they did with the defender, it covers the phones kickstand, but has one integrated into the case. http://www.otterbox.com/htc-cases/htc-thunderbolt-4g-cases/

I had my fill of waiting for a reliable and functional case from Otterbox a few weeks ago. I was very excited about their line of Thunderbolt cases but could not understand the delay. I was constantly told that it takes time to design and produce a great case... I agree. Somehow Seidio was able to design a great case and deliver on time to all of is new Thunderbolt owners wanting to get our handset protected. In short, I am sure the Otterbox line is great, they always are! But I am more than happy with the Seidio Innocase Active Case Limited Edition. It sports a custom fit, Sharp looks, functionality AND was cheaper. Sorry Otterbox, Seidio's product combined with a fast and easy deliver from Amazon beat you to the punch as far as the Thunderbolt is concerned.

These cases seem a bit overdone, nice looking but not necessary for me.

I appreciate the pics above. I'm interested to see how the case handles the Power and Volume Controls. I was going to puill the trigger on this case this afternoon...but I think I'll wait until there's some more feedback or information available first.

I would like a side view of how much bulk the commuter series adds to the thunderbolt if possible. If its less than the defender then I'm just going to get this instead, it looks like enough protection for what i go threw. And if you plan on buying it off the otterbox website look for the free shipping codes and 10 percent discount codes.

Looks pretty nice. I kind of think I would be more confident with the Defender and the extra added protection, but I work construction so I kinda need that. How do you feel about the fit and overall protection of the case so far? The finish looks great on it! You have some great shots there! Thanks.
I would say to that i don't blame Otterbox one bit for taking their time and getting things right on their cases. The cases they make have a reputation for being the best and that is for a reason. Seido might have figured out how to come out with a case quickly and for the vast majority of people out there their level of protection may be just fine. But as time goes by, I see more and more Seido cases just not holding up. I have read a quit a few complaints of some design flaws and things breaking very easily. Me, I am happy to wait and pay one time for an Otter that I know will withstand my rugged lifestyle. But thats just me. Everyones needs are different...

I decided on the side of Over Kill and pre-ordered the Defender Case.

Thanks for letting us know! It doesn't look like it adds too much bulk but I'd like to see a side view as well. I've been looking for a case. I got one from Sprint when I first got the phone and the plastic is chipping away and the plastic around the volume buttons came off...piece of junk

I do like the Defender case and was thinking on ordering that one, I just have one issue...Seido makes an extended battery for the 4G that I know of and buying that extends out the back of the phone thus rendering the Outerbox usless as it will no longer fit.
I am curious to see if they make a sturdy enough case for the phone with the extended battery?

I don't see that happening. As less owners will opt for an extended battery than even those choosing the Defender case over something much less expensive.
