I've heard it does, but I don't use it because I already do all the things it does, it just hinders me personally.

Well what do you do then to conserve battery, and how many hours do you get out of a single charge?

I never have WiFi/GPS on, I use HTC own built in battery saver, I keep my brightness very low, I keep updates around 15-30 mins. I can get a full day on minimal-no use and about 7-8 hours with use.

I loaded this app with standard setting and it increased my battery lift from 7 hrs to 14 hrs (average). It switches data off while not in use. It also defaults to Wifi when in range and disables wifi when out of range to save battery. also some apps which i run are auto closed using juice defender, I'm still trying it out, it works great if you keep your screen locked for long time.

Hope this helped

whoops, just posted a thread on this app, I didn't see this.  I was curious of it to...my battery lasts me about 4 hours ( I use it a lot) and I was looking for ways to have it last longer and found this so I'm doing so research on it.  It seemed to get great reviews in the market.  I was curious though, if it shuts off service when not in use, how would I receive messages/emails?
