Ok well since the phone has been out for 24 hours now, I have been checking on battery life. The phone was only about 30% charged when I got it and it was charge a little at various time thru the day yesterday and I have to say that with all the tinkering I was doing, it semed to do pretty well. I do notice the phone takes a while to charge. Last night at 3:30am I had it fully charged and then I unplugged it and left it alone to check on standby, battery time. Well with all notifcations running, such as facebook updates & twitter the battery went from 100% to 64% in 6.5 hours with no use by me. Thats not too bad. Right now I just have the auto brightness off and screen around 25% with no other settings to help the battery so Its doing pretty well. I am going to run it for a while and mess around with it and se how the battery goes today. I will update this post with more info as it happens... Here is some info I found over at XDA (courtesy of OneStepAhead) - I will put the main info here but i will add the link so you can see the whole post. To also help with Battery Life you can do these steps exactly: (This is straight from HTC themselves)1) Turn your device ON and Charge the device for 8 hours or more 2) Unplug the device and Turn the phone OFF and charge for 1 hour 3) Unplug the device Turn ON wait 2 minutes and Turn OFF and charge for another hour Your battery life should almost double, we have tested this on our devices and other agents have seen a major difference as well. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=6988794#post6988794

I used it heavily yesterday, as I just could NOT put it down. I recieved it at about 50% I showed it off for a bit then shut it down to charge it up; charging was horrible to wait for. It took about 2 hours to get full. After that, I used heavily (reinstalling apps, signing into accounts, etc.) for about 4 hours till it died. Today, with notifications on Twitter, facebook, Tapa, etc. for 15 minute intervals. Texted about 20 messages (in and out). Running a live wallpaper and showing it off (again). Buying an app, which meant putting in a card #, setting it up and checking my bank account It ran down to 10% around 3. I just charged it up - while napping - and am now doing this.
I will also try out that "battery improver" sometime this weekend. Thanks!

I tried this trick out and It seems to have worked!
I have 33% now (at 5pm) after unplugging at 11am (6 hours). I have Twitter and Facebook running on 15 minute intervals. I was on Tapa all day (dealing with an error). Took a couple more pictures. Took a quick 2 minute call. The previous days I've had to charge multiple times a day. When at school I rarely use my phone so this will surpass what I need on an average day! I feel that this is well worth the trouble. Do the 8 hour stint overnight, then it's a breeze.

Also, remember: do not turn it on until you plug it in and charge it fully. That will give the best results with battery.

Where does this come in? [/quote] Also, remember: do not turn it on until you plug it in and charge it fully. That will give the best results with battery. Is the battery improver a stock app or something off the market?
Since getting the phone a week ago, it's been really good on battery life for me... That is until yesterday... It was dead about halfway through my 8 hour shift at work and nothing was really different as far as my usage.

It could have been searching mire for 4G. The coverage isn't everywhere so it can start to roam for it, using battery.

The 4G network was down till about noon est yesterdy. So as JPC said, your phone was probably searching all that time for a signal... You should see a difference today

That makes sense. I have 4G most everywhere I go out here in AZ, but if it was down then that would be my issue. It just freaked me out.
Thanks for the input.

Today my battery decided to be nice. I unplugged around 10am. Had it shut off for about an hour, and with heavy testing (with sending and receiving a few pictures), used Tapa on two forums, took about 20+ pictures and had 5 minute call and it Is now 11pm and I'm running on about 15%
It was a great battery day.
I've reduced my normal brightness to around 15% which is a perfectly comfortable level for indoors.
