Lately I've been rearranging the home screens on my phone, and with all the widgets and apps out there the possibilities are endless. Just wondering how other people make use of their homescreens, might give me ideas on how to use mine . Right now from left to right I have.. 1 - blank 2 - htc calendar widget (the first style) 3 - mostly settings widgets - power control, then Mobile, 4G, Airplane Mode, and Sound Profiles 4 (Home) - Beautiful widgets home, my freq used apps, and a wifi widget 5 - Music/Media widgets and apps 6 - Other freq used apps 7 - tip calculator! Post your descriptions and/or screen captures if you like! I think we could all learn how to better layout our Thunderbolt's! I'll try to get my screen captures soon! EDIT - Adding some screen captures! Got one of my lock screen too

Care to give a list of what apps you're using? I like the way yours is set up.

Lock screen - WidgetLocker
Home screen - Multicon for the small icons, Beautiful Widgets for the clock/weather and wifi widget, Apps Organizer for my folders
Widget screen - AudioManager, Battery Widget
My music player is MixZing
I think that's all the apps shown on those screens that aren't obvious. If there's any I missed you're curious about then let me know!

I like this... i always find a new app or something that makes me re-organize my home screens....
Once I find some time, I will post what I have... but right now is as messy as the sock drawer or a 12 year old...

Khassy do you not find it hard to find the app you're looking for with all those little icons??
I tried having one of my pages set up like that once and I liked it at first but then it drove me nuts! Are you using launch-x? I know it's not multicon, but I admit the slightly larger icons make it look a LOT less cluttered than half a page of multicons does.

I think I asked in another thread somewhere, I can't find which thread it is so I'll ask here again because it relates better and I won't ever ask again.
Though searching is my friend (of course Khassy, I knew that! cuz I use google all the time) I have a bit better knowledge about the home screens from the 3 stock homescreens to the sense ui 7 screens.
Is there any way to add more than that? I guess 7 is plenty, but I am not sure I like the idea of having tiny icons, I was looking forward to the bigger screen so I could have bigger icons... I am visually challenged despite how well I drive.

Yes, you can have a lot more. Just set up a new scene.
I don't have my phone yet, so I will have to do a search and see if I come up with anything before asking further . Its kinda weird to pretty much already know how to use it without actually having one.... EDIT: I found some info on how to modify/delete themes, but nothing on adding them (and of course the info about mod/delete obviously gives a good indicator of how to add too) but the question I have is how would I access additional scenes? Are Scenes accessed the same way as the 7 screens are?

And the other side (above were lock, main, and those to the left, these are to the right except the calculator, which is the farthest left).
Khassy, I like your calendar, it isn't one of the selectable options and I am guessing I need to download custom calendar designs?

Jorte is the main calendar. Calwidget is the agenda on the main page.
coolio, I don't want to copy you or anything but looks like I'm gonna need that weather widget too! It looks like it takes up less space than the awesome HTC weather clock

Very cool screens. What this thread showcases is how amazingly versatile the android can be. Sorry, but having previous iphone and wind. mobile experience, this phone does not cease to amaze me. Jpbme, on your lockscreen, can you use the flashlight, ringer button and mixzing without unlocking the screen? If so, do you ever accidentally turn on flashlight or mixzing by unknowingly tapping screen with finger? I mean, how does it work?

i like to keep things somewhat grouped together, and i use multicon to cram related apps into the same area. my main homepage is my most frequently used apps (i.e. facebook, google nav, twitter, gmail, etc) then to the right i have another page of frequently used apps, my travel page (google earth, maps, layar, nycmate, etc) and then a page full of games. to the left i have a page that's 1/2 power management 1/2 news apps, my to-do/finance page (stock widget, groceryiq, astrid, calendar) then my last is a dedicated sports page. i basically have a dedicated screen for the every main use of the phone (communication, sports, entertainment, navigation, blahblahblah). it keeps things convenient so that no frequently used app is more then a flick or tap away. gawd i freakin love this phone!!

Well WidgetLocker is very customizable. The flashlight and ringer are sliders (just like the stock android slider) and so I don't ever accidentally turn those on since you have to slide it across. The mixzing I have turned on ONCE by accident. But I put it at the top because I knew I would hit it less often. However, you also have the option to turn off interactions so you can't just tap it and turn it on, or you can make a slider to 'toggle interactions', and then slide that out to allow interactions, then play/pause your music, or interact with any widgets you choose to put on the lockscreen (you can put any widget except the HTC widgets) Really it's like another homescreen and you can put anything you want on there. I know a lot of people put the camera or shazam/soundhound on there to take a picture or tag a song quickly. Pretty cool app.
