No its not built in and the curent versions seem to have issues.

If your in the swype beta. They just sent out an update and it seems to be doing real good. Im using it now..

Thanks for the clarification. I loved Swype for awhile and then I found SwiftKey. No issues ever and I love it. Just another option.

I use ShapeWriter, I find it's much more accurate and has a more intuitive UI. I have the . apk if you would like it (since they took it off of the Market).
