HTC's sync is starting to piss me off. I personally never want my Facebook/twitter integrated with my contacts. I won't go into my contacts to see my Facebook friends' updates; or my following on Twitter. That's what I have 3 Twitter apps and the Facebook app for. The contacts are where I keep peoples' names who I need to contact with my phone. I accidentally added my Facebook and now I have a lot of pointless "friends" in my contacts. I know about accounts and sync in the settings but it will stop the sync, not undo it. At least I have a project for tomorrow.

Sorry for the rant; it was making me mad.

Do you like this feature?

Just unlink them by pressing on the little link icon in the upper right corner. I like the htc link for the contacts.

I do know that when i first got android and didnt understand the sync thing, it did drive me nuts too.

Yep Capt. that is the best. I have turned off several of the "lists" (Facebook included)...my next task is to consolidate all of my lists, clean them up and try to have only one...ugh.

I did that; I checked 'do not sync', and after all that, it still shows up. I rebooted and all my 'do not sync' checks magically re appeared. So it is syncing contacts again. I ended up just removing both Facebook for Sense and just regular Facebook, turned off Twitter and Flickr. We'll see how it goes. Thanks guys.

I used to like it a lot but quickly grew out of it. I like the idea of it and will sync manually every once in a while just to update pics to my contacts. That's about the only thing that I use it for anymore.
