Guys and Gals Just figure I would bring the bad news but google Vzw and AT&T have pulled tethering of Wifi, pda and easy from the market. If you already have it on your phone then you are ok but for the people who are looking for it in the market is has or will be removed soon... I just found this out when I walked into work... more information will come when I get some...

Wireless tethering is gone too...sure wish I would of reinstalled on my TBOLT when I had the chance. I hope a developer will find a way around it. One question though...when I connect my phone to my laptop one of the choices is INTERNET CONNECTION MODE...share phone's mobile network with pc. Cant we tether already with the TBOLT?

Yes we can, but it's a feature offered by VZW. It will start to cost $20 a month on May 15th. I have the Wireless Tether apk. I can get it to you if you want.

Sent from my HTC Thunderbolt 4G using Tapatalk.

even though the apps are pulled from the market, the pdanet app itself still works fine.

pdanet already upgraded to 3.0, which allows you to hide tethering traffic from service providers.

pdanet can directly push the app file into your phone, so you don't need to download it from the market place.

It works for me, I just want to share that with you guys.

I found this over at XDA I tried it and it works.
All you have to do to download Wireless Tether or any other apps blocked by Verizon is put your phone into Airplane Mode and then turn on WiFi. As long as you have a WiFi signal with the phone in Airplane Mode, you will have accessibility to all blocked Apps in the Market, even if your phone is not rooted!
This is sweet
