I've searched for a thread with this subject, but was unable to find anything. Please feel free to move if I may have missed a post.

Does anyone know how to choose from custom sounds for the Alarm Clock, rather than the pre-loaded sounds??? I have a few very irritating sounds that I like to use to wake me up in the morning, but can't figure out how to incorporate them into my Alarm Clock Sound Settings.

P.s. On another note: I was told that I was able to transfer files wirelessly onto the Thunderbolt from my Computer. Is that not true?

thanks for searching first!

this has been covered, but mostly in threads about notifications, not specifically alarms, but since you searched first im happy to go over it again for you

create a folder on your sd card named alarms. put whatever sounds you want to use in there. now those sounds will show up in htc's alarm picker thing.

there are a few ways to transfer files wirelessly, but the easiest is with dropbox

use this link to go to dropbox.com and setup an account (it gives you an extra 250mb on top of the 2gb they give you for free)

download the dropbox folder thing, and then download the app from the marketplace. all you have to do is drag and drop files into your dropbox folder, and they will show up on your phones dropbox app.

you can even install apps from your computer by putting the apk in the dropbox. it installs the app right from your phones dropbox!

I too have read numerous posts trying to customize my alarm sounds. However, making the new folder didn't work for me. I was able to customize my notifications and ring tones, but not my alarm clock. Any ideas?

I make two folders, both named "alarms", one under media/audio/alarms and with all the folders--neither worked.

Thank you!

The phone should see them then, if not, try rebooting the phone.
