So, I just followed the instructions you posted.... and my phone is exactly the same. No different.  I can't remove the bloatware, it won't do the hotspot.

I followed the instructions step by step.... and nothing.

Anyone care to explain how that would happen?

If u have 3.30.651.2, unrevoked should still work right? I have 3.30.651.2, and my phone is still rooted. I thought it was jus 3.30.651.3?

Sent from the phone thats better than yours!

Did you root it that way or just flash a Rom that had it pre-installed.

You will have to check your phone specs, but you probably have the newer 2.02 hoot and 3.30 version. Unrevoked won't work at this time for you if that's the case. There are other options that don't come highly recommended.

Any difference between the free and paid versions of ROM Manager?

Most comments didn't really help distinguish...

I think Premium is a "donate" version for the dev. The free version has everything you need.

Great site and thanks to everyone who contributes - I have a question about Rooting using the method linked in the first post.  I am embarrassed to say I keep getting stuck because when I plug my Thunderbolt in, it appears that Unrevoked 3 doesn't recognize it's plugged in.  I'm on Windows and I did the Hboot step to get the Bootloader Interface.

I haven't put any Thunderbolt software on my computer - is that part of the problem?  Whenever I plug the phone in it asks to do a software update, and I just cancel out.  I get the popup box saying it recognized an Android, but then *poof* - it looks like it disappears??

Any advice for someone stuck before step 1 even starts??

Thanks
