I think this is Typical Big WIreless company ( Not Just Verizon) . Staged Rollout!
1) 1.13.605.7 Build Early this week
2) 1.70.605 74MB Build this evening (that  fixes reboots I never had! )
3) Maybe Gingerbread next week?

also, what is this data usage tracker that is installed now? I heard that Verizon is going to be doing away with unlimited data much like AT&T did  Cry However, I think that we have been grandfathered in if we have already had the service.  This just makes me think its coming to an end and we soon will have to pay for heafty data plans

We have been grandfathered into our unlimited data untill the conclusion of your contract (unless you signed after July 7th).

No worries. The data tracker is for people without it, just getting the phone.

What I've noticed that is new, is the new boos animation - lesser sound, better end picture - and a new 3G icon when it's on 3G.

Why haven't I gotten the update yet?
Whenever I got to settings, software update, check new...it says it's checking, and nothing happens.
Will my phone all of a sudden say 'new software available'?
Do I need to connect to my PC to start this update?
The system update instructions from Verizon are pretty vague...

Please pardon my noobness, but the constantly rebooting is a sure pain.

My strategy hit the reject buttn wait for gb then download together.
This file 74 mb.
Gb about 104mb.
I can wait I don't get reboots.

The mobile hotspot was deactivated on the 7th. if you try to activate it it will give you a message. This new update had nothing to do with the hotspot. Verizon disabled it on there end so when your phone tries to contact the network it is denied.

If you dont pay for it, you wont be able to use it..
