Interesting, I have not noticed any issues since the stock update. In fact (it could my imagination), it appears that battery life is even a bit better. Anyone experiencing these issues?

No problems with my phone since purchase either. all is well..

From what I was told by a friend who works at verizon, its actually a problem with the cell towers software. Vwerizon has been working nonstop to update the towers with the new software. if a phone is using a non updated tower to connect, it will cause a reboot due to radio not communicating properly. If you move to an area with an updated tower the reboots stop..

Planning on updating tonight; I haven't noticed any reboots but I have noticed a lot of going completely out of all service, 1X, 3G and 4G.

Sent from my HTC Thunderbolt 4G using Tapatalk.

I updated on Thursday and had a reboot about 15 minutes later. Last night rebooted by itself again. That is the only 2 times that I know of

Yes! I am having this problem. I was just coming to post to see if anyone was experiencing this. I think my phone has spontaneously reboot 5 times now since I updated. Also programs that I've never once had a problem with are crashing.

From what Im hearing a factory reset solves this issue for most. If not, call tech support and explain. they are aware of this issue with some phones and will replace it free of charge...

I'll have to do that I guess. It's not too big of a deal to backup my stuff I suppose but I was hoping it could be fixed without wiping my device. Thanks for the idea. I might have sat around forever waiting for another update that was never coming.

Ever since the update, my ThunderBolt reboots itself every once in a while. It's getting to be a pain. I've heard of others having this problem and was just wondering if there is anything I can do about it or is there a fix on the way? Thanks in advance.

Sorry to hear that. See this string:

Best thing to do is to call/visit VZW and ask for assistance, replacement, etc. Good luck.

Dude you need to root the phone and get away from the stock issues. Since I have rooted my phone and installed the DAS BAMF 1.6.3 rom my batt life is about 75% better and my phone has never been more stable.

As far as going to VZW for help you would be better off talking to your grandma. Those people are completely clueless. They will prob install a task killer and send you on your way. They make me laugh with their ignorance.

Yeah, they are a ton of help. Always the stock answers...... pull your battery, restart your phone, etc...... blah, blah blah. Then, they give you HTC's phone number. LOL! Honestly, I dont have a clue how to root the phone or what that really even means. Sorry, first Android phone. They only thing they told me I could do is do a factory reset. Which, is a pain. They sent out the update that caused this, can't they just find a way to fix it and send another update? Still love the phone though. It's pretty amazing.
