widget downloads but won't install

I've had this other little problem which isn't all that bad since it's not something I try to do all the time. I've been trying to download a widget (Tasks) and although it downloads just fine, it never seems to install. When the download is finished, it just disappears from the info window.

So here's the process:

go to a free home screen
tap the personalize button
tap on the Widget
tap Get more Widgets
scroll down to find Tasks
Tap Tasks
wait for download
Watch it say "download complete"
watch it clear out of the list
go back to Personalize again
scroll down to find Tasks
sigh in frustration cause it's not there to be found


So either I'm doing something wrong, looking in the wrong place, or the tasks widget is just not installing. Any ideas will be greatly appreciated.
